Animation and Audio Project

Create an animation in photoshop out of photos and make a soundtrack in garage band to go with it:
I thought a fountain by the Straz center would make an interesting subject in both aesthetics and movement.

Gradient Mesh

Recreate a fruit in Illustrator using gradient meshes:
I remade this apple using many gradients, texture overlays, and general tracing and filling.

Morphx

Create a short Morphx animation of yourself at two different points in your life:
The first photo is my first school picture, from Kindergarden. I was a very happy child and it was fun trying to mimic that excitement. I also think it's pretty cool that I still like wearing blue floral dress.

Art Project

Choose a favorite art piece and include your face in it:
My favorite photographer is Annie Leibovitz, so I chose to place myself in one of her fantasy Disney portraits.

Somewhere

Place yourself in an environment where you have never been:
I loved the photographs of the Russians that illegally climbed the pyramids, and I wanted to include myself on their adventure. I had a photo of myself sitting down and reading, and I liked the idea of reading on top of the world among friends and law-breakers.

Photo Alteration

Using filters in photoshop, alter the appearance of 5 photographs (including a self portrait):

First of all, I wanted the photos themselves to reflect each other. Two different landscapes at two different times of the day, and two different airplane windows. I explored 5 different art styles with these effects: Oil painting, weaving, glasswork, old photography, and pop art.

Poster

Re-created a poster using Illustrator:
Using the pen tool and color filling techniques, I was able to re-create this poster for the musical Wicked. I'm particularly happy with the way the font at the bottom looks.

Business Cards

Create business cards using the logo:

I tested out a few designs, but this is the one that matters most. It is a double-sided card, with one side focusing on my own cosplay and the other side focusing on my cosplay photography. I got them professionally printed, and have already started handing them out at conventions!

Logo

Design a personal logo:
I have a Facebook page that promotes my combined hobbies of cosplay and photography, and I eagerly made a logo for it. The design is meant to be a minimalist representation of a camera and a sewing machine. I now use it (without the words along the sides) as my watermark for the cosplay photos I take.

Calligram

Create a Calligram!

My calligram of Sonic the Hedgehog, made in Adobe Illustrator, utalizes the lyrics of the theme song, which I thought would be a cute and visually effective display.

HTML5 Project

Using any text editor, create a landscape or a portrait - it can be totally experimental - using the HTML5 CANVAS. It must contain at least 4 shapes.

I liked experimenting with color codes found online, to make interesting gradients and palettes, as well as moving the shapes to suit my portrait in a specific way.
